A delicious treat for a winter party, you can dress them up with a garnish on the top. These chocolate balls are quick and easy to make, ready in half an hour. Food processor or similar blender required.

Ingredients

  • 125 grams cocoa powder
  • 200 grams biscuit
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 40 grams sugar
  • 1 espresso coffee (or similar)

Directions

  1. Start by grinding the biscuit into flour in the food processor. Add all the remaining ingredients, and mix well until getting a homogeneous dough.
  2. With your hands, make small balls of dough, and put them in paper cups.
  3. Decorate to taste.
  4. Refrigerate until serving.

These cookies deliver the classic taste and charm of old fashioned gingerbread. They’re a favorite on my seasonal platters and for my son’s grade school parties. My daughter likes to make these with friends during sleep-overs. We have never built this dough into a house but I’m sure that’s on the way!
