Nutty, chocolaty goodness in every bite! These little gems are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth when you are craving something after dinner. Wheat and chestnut flour, honey, and almonds increase their nutritional value, without sacrificing their flavor.

Ingredients

  • 120 grams butter
  • 120 grams icing sugar
  • 45 grams almond (powder)
  • 10 grams honey
  • 25 grams wheat flour
  • 20 grams chestnut flour
  • 100 grams egg white
  • 1 bar dark chocolate

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan to a hazelnut color, sieve, and add honey. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, sift the flour and the icing sugar.
  4. Mix the flour mixture and almond powder.
  5. Add the egg whites.
  6. Stir in butter and crushed chocolate.
  7. Pour in mini financier soft molds.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
  9. To serve, accompany with a ball of vanilla ice cream.

People request these from me frequently. They are so light and spongy, and the chocolate and nutty combo are addicting. They are not difficult to make and with smaller pans they are a novelty for kids.
