Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onions (medium, chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 19 ounces red kidney beans (1 can, rinsed and drained)
  • 1 jar ragu pasta sauce (1 lb. 8 oz., Old World Style®)
  • 8 ounces chip plain tortilla
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 4 oz)

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef with onion and chili powder in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and Pasta Sauce.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes. Spoon over tortilla chips, then top with cheese.

I added 1 teaspoon cumin powder while browning the beef. It added to the flavor and taste to the chilli. I also added 1/4 cup of bell pepper finely chopped to the ground beef while browning.
