    Excellent ! A little to spicy /hot the first time I made it The second time I cut the chili powder by a couple of tablespoons and halved the red pepper flakes Served it with some wonderful sweet cornbread, plus the sour cream, extra cheese, oyster crackers and lime slices My three teenage sons loved it !

    This is a perfect recipe for a cold winter day. I made this for my family for the very first time and they loved it. It was a bit spicy, but so yummy! Thank you for sharing this extremely easy and delicious recipe!

    2nd time...it’s great! I used one pound of beef & one pound of hot Italian sausage. I used the full amount of chili powder, and halved the other spices to compensate for the sausage seasoning.

    Pretty good! My family really enjoyed it. My kids don’t care for Spicy food so I left out the cayenne pepper and pepper flakes and added cilantro

    Flavor was good...not great. For me, it was pleasing and comforting, but not amazing. When I create a new dish, I want the people eating it to give awesome reviews about how it tastes. I served this to 3 college coaches who came by for a recruiting visit; they all gave a thumbs up, but not a standing ovation. I follow the recipe exactly EXCEPT for the following: 1) I used 1lb gr beef & 1lb cubed top round steak 2) In addition to the kidney beans, I added a small can of drain & rinsed pinto beans. Could these recipe alterations have affected the score? Maybe. I’d make it again. Maybe add a pinch of liquid smoke!

    the chili recipe is super easy to follow and my family loved it. We like things extra spicy so I added two chopped serrano peppers and added extra cayenne pepper powder. This chili is delicious!

    Flavorful and easy! Had a nice kick. Made another batch for kids with less chili powder and no red pepper flakes so would be las spicy, Added turkey and bison together for one; hamburger meat for the other. Very good!

    Easy and great tasting! Will definitely do it again! I used Serrano peppers instead of red pepper flakes and removed the seeds to give it a tiny kick.

    I added some smoked paprika and used steak instead of ground beef. This was the best chili I’ve had in a long time. It reminds me of the steakhouse chili you get from Dominick’s which went out of business

    It was delicious!!! Just needed more salt and a bit more cayenne and chili powder. Will add steak to it next time.
