    Rich and spicy! Although I don’t typically care for a lot of spice to avoid heartburn, this recipe was a good blend of spices which provided a lot of flavor to my otherwise bland chili. Really liked it!

    pretty much followed the recipe. used an smaller extra can of diced tomatoes cause they were Italian flavored. i didn't have a fresh red pepper so i used a yellow. worked out nicely

    Great flavor. Modified only in use of peppers I had on hand which were sweet peppers and half a green bell pepper. Husband and I very much enjoyed!

    Its pretty good however didn't really follow this recipe. Lol used 2 jars of home made salsa for the veggies and spice, added 2 tbs of chili powder and the beer. Didn't have bacon but added bacon fat, beef stock and Worcestershire to the finished beef. I added mushrooms and the beans. We really enjoyed it. My version of chili on a budget.

    It was good but after adding 1T chipotle chili powder & a can of chili’s it was even more flavorful!

    Excellent ! A little to spicy /hot the first time I made it The second time I cut the chili powder by a couple of tablespoons and halved the red pepper flakes Served it with some wonderful sweet cornbread, plus the sour cream, extra cheese, oyster crackers and lime slices My three teenage sons loved it !

    This is a perfect recipe for a cold winter day. I made this for my family for the very first time and they loved it. It was a bit spicy, but so yummy! Thank you for sharing this extremely easy and delicious recipe!

    2nd’s great! I used one pound of beef & one pound of hot Italian sausage. I used the full amount of chili powder, and halved the other spices to compensate for the sausage seasoning.

    Pretty good! My family really enjoyed it. My kids don’t care for Spicy food so I left out the cayenne pepper and pepper flakes and added cilantro

    Flavor was good...not great. For me, it was pleasing and comforting, but not amazing. When I create a new dish, I want the people eating it to give awesome reviews about how it tastes. I served this to 3 college coaches who came by for a recruiting visit; they all gave a thumbs up, but not a standing ovation. I follow the recipe exactly EXCEPT for the following: 1) I used 1lb gr beef & 1lb cubed top round steak 2) In addition to the kidney beans, I added a small can of drain & rinsed pinto beans. Could these recipe alterations have affected the score? Maybe. I’d make it again. Maybe add a pinch of liquid smoke!

    The chili turned out really good. I didn’t add red peppers or crushed red peppers, I thought it would be to hot for my kids.

    the chili recipe is super easy to follow and my family loved it. We like things extra spicy so I added two chopped serrano peppers and added extra cayenne pepper powder. This chili is delicious!
