We didn’t have any peas so I used black beans instead. It was a bit watery but I still loved it! Will def make again.

Turned out pretty good. I would have added herbs or turmeric to give the flavor a little more depth.
Turned out very good. The only changes i will make next time will be to at least double the 3 TBSP of flour to thincken and to make more of the dumplings.

I used chicken breast and thigh that I seasoned and cooked. ( but i can see the advantage of using a rotisserie chicken). I made it, put in the frig. and baked it a couple days later. turned out great! this was my 3rd or 4th time making it. Definiately a family favorite!

This is so delicious and a crowd pleaser!
It's great. I've made it twice so far. I did use garlic salt instead of regular salt for the broth, and buttermilk for the dumplings instead of regular milk, but the recipe is amazing.
I've never made chicken and dumplings before, so made a couple mistakes but it did turn out good. There wasn't any left , so I guess that's a good sign.

Good. Doubled the dumplings, its more like a deconstructed pot pie, but good anyway. Chicken and veggies could stand on their own. My family liked it very much. Next time I will put half the mix, then dumplings, then the other half or the mix and see how it turns out.

This was a wonderful and comforting dish. What I did differently: I used chicken breasts with thyme cooked in a slow cooker and instead of just peas, frozen mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, green beans, and lima beans) that I added immediately to the onion/celery saute. I also used Better Than Bouillon to make the stock, because it has the best flavor!

This was simple and very good. I made it exactly as directed. However, next time I will triple the gravy, double chicken and vegetables, and double the the dumplings. As directed, the dumplings soaked up a lot of the gravy making the dish more dumpling than anything else. Otherwise, the flavor and ease of preparation were wonderful.

It was great! I just changed a few things. I use buttermilk instead of milk and garlic salt instead of salt. It was wonderful!

This dish is crazy simple and delicious. I've made it a few times now and there are always no complaints...let alone conversation at my dinner table (too busy stuffing our faces!). Thanks for sharing your awesome creation!

This was really delicious and pretty easy to make, great comfort food but not that unhealthy. I didn't have a glass baking dish, so I split it between 2 round cake pans, worked fine.

It earned three stars because it is a good base recipe, but it needs tweaking. Gravy was really thin and watery and the dumplings needed more salt. Also, the dumplings are really dense. I like them that way, so it didn't bother me. But I can see how some people wouldn't like that. Other than that the flavor was good. We will make it again and make adjustments to the recipe.

Used quorn pieces instead of chicken because we are veggie. Browned the quorn first in a large frying pan. In retrospect, if I'd read all the instructions first, I could have done it all in the cast iron casserole and saved myself some washing up. I did worry that the sauce was going to be lumpy, but it was fine with a lot of stirring, but I'd probably use sauce flour next time to make things a bit easier (didn't have any in today). Served it with mash. Kids gave it 4.5 out of 5 and asked for seconds. In fact, the fussy one even ate the peas, which is a bit of a miracle.

This was lovely. I tweaked it a bit, cooking fresh chicken first and slicing it up, and adding tarragon. Kids loved it.
