My family ate this on fancy bread with sautéed greens and pepper jack cheese. They agreed that kind of sandwich would cost $16 in a restaurant. I ate it with greens and no cheese, and I thought it was just okay.

made it without the sauce and it was horrible, they were dry and flavorless. might try making it with the sauce next time

Very yummy! I made it in the oven just as directed. I expected the bacon to look browner so cooked it longer by about 10 minutes. Even after the extra time it wasn't over cooked. I had a lot of drippings left over in the baking dish so after adding the cream cheese it was still pourable. I added some cream anyway because it sounded good. For some reason my kids weren't huge fans, so I probably won't make it often. Still, my husband and I thought they were great.
