This was a great base. I boiled my chicken breast in chicken broth, made my veg in a separate skillet (I also added celery), then added it all to an iron skillet with homemade pie crust on top. Easy and even my picky eater ate some.

The filling was amazing, I did add mushrooms and garlic in with the onions. I live in a rural area with no nearby grocery and I did not have time to make a crust so I improvised with Pillsbury crescent roll as a topper I know if I had the time and ingredients this would have been - 5 star recipe

Turned out great! A little watery after cooking than expected. Not watery prior to cooking though. Decided I am not a fan of the thyme seasoning but with different seasoning, I will cook this again.

The chicken pot pie was amazing!! It was gone in 15 minutes by a family of picky eaters. I definitely recommend this recipe. But It can be time consuming so make it a few hours before serving and put tin foil underneath the pie because it will drip. But this is an amazing recipe!
