I really don't like celery but here it's a must to get that taste that tranports you back to childhood. Paired with a grilled cheese sandwich, this one's an absolute classic.

This recipe is amazing...my husband loves it! The only thing I do differently is substitute ground chicken for bone in chicken and I do 4 cups of chicken broth with 4 cups of water instead of just 8 cups of water and it is amazing! Our family loves ground chicken so to us it is much better with it, but either way the flavor of this soup is on point for homemade chicken noodle soup!

very yummy, used fresh herbs instead, and added peas. used half water, half chicken stock, and boneless skinless chicken

Didn’t have the onion, basil, or bay leaf. Substituted 2 of the cups of water with chicken broth. Turned out perfect. Kids loved it. Great for a cold winter night

Very yummy. I did make a couple changes. Used chicken thighs (4-5) instead of breasts and added better than bouillon (chicken flavor) to increase the flavor of the broth.

I used gluten free, egg white noodles and did half chicken broth and half water for the broth. I also made the chicken in a crock pot ahead of time, so some small alterations, but it was a lovely dish.

While the taste is wonderful, the smell of this soup is absolutely fantastic. I very suddenly ran out of onions so I had to sub them for shallots and I guess it turned out okay that way as well. Something about this recipe - so simple and so comforting - reminds you of home, especially on cold evenings.

This soup is super easy and yummy!! Last night I cooked chicken breasts over a charcoal barbecue and used the remainder for the soup. The Smokey flavor added a deliciousness that is undeniable! Hands down, this is my favorite chicken noodle soup!

So good! Just made this last night and it’s one of the best turn outs I’ve had with chicken noodle soup! So flavorful! I did tweak it a little because I used chicken breasts without the bone so instead of 8 cups of water I omitted two cups for two cups of chicken broth.

Simple but delicious. Just what I needed on crisp fall day when I wasn't feeling well, and simple enough that my non-cooking husband could make it for me. I too used boneless chicken breasts, and I just loved how substantial the soup turned out.

So good! Even made it with boneless chicken breasts and it still came out amazing! Just what I needed on a rainy, cold night!

Perfect! About 3tsp to have it perfectly salty. Definitely add about 2 more cups of water for more broth
