Best homemade sugar cookie recipe I’ve found! Doughs a bit sticky, so it makes rolling the dough into sugar a tab messy. But it was definitely worth it! Yum!!
Josie Stewart 9 Dec 2017
It was okay. Took wayyyy longer than expected and they were kind of runny, but they tasted good

Great tasting but the batter was too runny to roll into balls, so I added two more large spoonfuls of flour to the recipe. I think the brand of margarine you use makes a large difference as some brands have more oil base to them than others. Will try again next time with softened unsalted butter.

Love this recipe! My cookies came out amazing. I used butter instead of margarine. Rolled my dough into balls and flattened them just a bit.....baked for 8 mins and all batches came out perfect. I also added rainbow sprinkles for my kids. Nice, soft and plump!!!! Love! Love! Love!

The cookies turned out to be extremely flat even though I followed the directions, the didn't taste like sugar cookies, they tasted like egg

when I made these sugar cookies the came out close to what the photo looks like. The cookies were sweet but not over powering. My mother tasted one and she said it remined her of the sugar cookies my grandmother use to make.

The cookies were just okay. The dough seemed to be too thin to shape into balls and the cookies became very flat. They were good but not what I was expecting according to the picture

Pretty good. I used butter in place of margarine and rolled in raw sugar. Will add a bit of vanilla next time. Made 24 plump soft sugar cookies.

Super easy recipe. Very tasty. It's pretty much fail proof as long as you watch the time in the oven so they don't get burnt.
Nykele D. 11 May 2016
So good. I substituted orange extract for vanilla extract, added 1 tablespoon of grapefruit zest, and squeezed a grapefruit half over the batter. I plan to do it again and add vanilla chips

These cookies were very good. However they were very flat. The directions said to roll the batter but it was too runny to roll into a ball.

Mine came out excellent. I've used this recipe twice and delicious and chewy. When it comes to baking, you need to understand your oven's heat levels, I usually have to take my cookies out a little early so best not to overcook, cool, and put in an air tight container afterwards.

I followed every directions on this recipe and when I baked it, it was soft and delicious but when i transferred it on my cooling rack the cookie after cooling was hard. My ingredients were just bought that day so it couldn't be that my ingredients were expired. Can someone explain that to me?
