Description

These recipe for chestnut cream uses only 4 ingredients to make a delicious spread that can be used as a spread on toast, a topping for a warm bowl of oatmeal, or mixed into the batter of baked goods for a kick of nutty flavor. Ingredients

1 kilogram chestnuts (whole, peeled and frozen)
1 vanilla pods
750 grams sugar
20 ounces water

Directions

1Boil frozen chestnuts in a large amount of water for 15 minutes.
2Drain and finely grind in the blender or food processor.
3Then, to get a really fine texture, pass the puree through a sieve.
4Scrape the vanilla bean.
5Pour the sugar and water into a large cooking pot and cook over high heat until large bubbles cover the surface.
6Then add the mashed chestnuts and the scraped vanilla bean.
7Lower the heat and cook for 30-35 minutes, stirring constantly.
8Attention to boiling splashing.
9Pour into a sterilized jar immediately, tighten the lid, and turn the jar upside down until completely cooled.
