Description

Requiring just three ingredients, this fresh cherry jam has an enticing almond flavor. Pit the cherries and let them soak in jelly sugar overnight. After that, all that is left to do the next day is to heat until the jam reaches your desired consistency.   • 500 grams jelly sugar
  • 1 tablespoon almond extract

    Directions

    1. The night before, pit the cherries and place them in a pan with high sides. Mix in the the sugar, and cover until the next morning.
    2. The next day, heat the pan, stirring occasionally to desired consistency.
    3. Add the almond extract, and stir.
    4. Mince jam slightly, and pour into sterilized jars. Turn the jars upside down for a few minutes to create a natural vacuum.
