• 1/4 cup Hellmann's or Best Foods Real Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon cherry brandy (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded swiss cheese (about 8 oz.)
  • 1 clove garlic (halved)
  • 1 loaf french bread (cut into bite-size cubes)
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 pinch ground white pepper (optional)


  1. Rub inside of 2-quart saucepan with cut-side of garlic. Whisk Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise with flour in saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until bubbling, about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Boil until thickened, about 1 minute. Stir in wine and brandy. Return to a boil, stirring frequently, and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat, then stir in cheese, nutmeg and pepper. Let stand 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Heat over low heat if cheese is not completely melted. DO NOT BOIL. Turn into fondue pot and serve with bread and your favorite dippers.
