Stuffed with pesto cream cheese and drizzled with olive oil, these cheese baguettes are sprinkled with parmesan cheese before baking until golden and crispy. Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons pesto sauce
  • 80 grams cheese (Philadelphia)
  • 1 baguette (large)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • parmesan cheese (ground, optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Mix the pesto with the Philadelphia cheese in a small bowl.
  3. Cut small slices in the bread about 2 centimeters deep, and fill them with the Philadelphia/pesto mixture.
  4. Pour a dash of olive oil over the baguette and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (if desired).
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, let it cool off, then serve.

This is a good recipe, but it is hard to cut in to when it is ready to serve. Instead of just small slits in the bread, cut it into thick slices. Then, put the pesto mixture on top of the slices, and bake it that way. The baguette pieces taste really good served with pasta.
