Ingredients

  • 250 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 55 grams salted butter
  • 150 milliliters milk (or buttermilk)
  • 60 grams cheddar cheese (grated)
  • pumpkin seeds

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a bowl combine the flour and baking powder.
  3. Add the butter cut in small pieces, incorporate it gradually until crumbly.
  4. Add the grated cheese and then gradually add the milk. Mix until smooth.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1.5 cm thick.
  6. Cut out scones with a cookie cutter.
  7. Brush the cookies with a little bit of milk and top with more grated cheddar cheese and pumpkin seeds.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
