Cereal bars don’t have to be a breakfast treat. They also can be a great snack any time of the day. These Cereal Bars with Raspberry Jam and Raisins take 55 minutes to prepare. There are only four servings in this recipe, so be sure to adjust accordingly. Ingredients include brown sugar, flour, rolled oats, sesame seeds, flax seeds, baking soda, salt, softened butter, raspberry jam, and raisins. These will be the new favorite in the house.

Ingredients

  • 80 grams brown sugar
  • 125 grams flour
  • 90 grams rolled oats
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame
  • 1/2 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • salt
  • 100 grams butter (softened)
  • 1 jar raspberry jam (light)
  • raisins (to taste)

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2Grease, and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. 3In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour, oats, sesame seeds, linseed, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  4. 4Add butter, and stir until the ingredients are combined.
  5. 5Put half of this dough into the pan, pressing tightly to the bottom of the pan.
  6. 6Spread raspberry jam and raisins on top,except the edges, or else it will leak through the edges.
  7. 7Add the remaining dough on top of the jam, tightly flattening.
  8. 8Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
  9. 9When cooled, cut into desired shape.
