This recipe is great because its so easy to throw together, and even easier to grab in the morning on your way to work. It is incredible healthy with protein, fiber, whole grains, and fruit which makes the perfect balanced breakfast.
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/3 cup walnuts
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 2 tbsp maple
- 1 tbsp chia or flax seed
- 1/4 cup chopped apple
- 1/2 cup chopped carrot
- 1/4 cup raisins
- Additional toppings: walnuts, raisins, coconut, chopped apple, etc.
- In a small container with a lid, add oats and set aside
- In a high power blender, make walnut milk by blending water and walnuts until smooth and milky
- Add remaining ingredients except for raisins and blend until smooth
