I didn't use the chopped celery or green onion, just out of taste preference. I also did not use the block of cheese - they suggested velveeta. I used penne pasta instead of fettuccine, simply because it's what I had at home. I added a second green pepper, cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to the chicken broth and heavy cream mixture. It came out fantastic!!!! It was a major hit and will definitely have to make it again.
