Description

Every mouthful of this dish is packed with onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Ready in just under 30 minutes, anyone can make this hot and spicy dish.

Ingredients

  • pasta
  • 150 grams tagliatelle pasta
  • 1/2 onions (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (seeded chopped)
  • 150 grams ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cayenne pepper (whole)
  • 14 ounces crushed tomatoes
  • parmesan cheese (grated, optional)

Directions

  1. 1Boil the pasta in salted water for 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. 2On low heat, saute together the onion and bell pepper.
  3. 3Once translucent, add the ground beef.
  4. 4When the ground beef is halfway cooked, add the thyme, rosemary, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
  5. 5Add the canned tomatoes and simmer another 10 minutes
  6. 6Mix the drained pasta with the cajun sauce. Serve topped with Parmesan cheese.
