Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 head cabbage (coarsely chopped)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • onions (2 lg., sliced)
  • 4 potatoes (cooked, drained)
  • 13 ounces cream of chicken soup

Directions

  1. Melt butter.
  2. Add cabbage and onions.
  3. Saute until wilted.
  4. Place half of the cabbage, onion mixture in a 3 quart casserole.
  5. Place half of cooked potatoes on top.
  6. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.
  7. Repeat cabbage, onion mixture, sliced potatoes.
  8. Pour cream of chicken soup over all.
  9. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
  11. Serves 6-8.
