Delicious and exceedingly quick and easy to make! Top with whipped cream or crème douce for extra decadence. We baked the crust an additional 5min prior to filling, which gave it a nice nutty flavour. Despite how thin the filling layer is, the recipe results in a well-proportioned butter tart

These were so good! I’ve never even heard of butter tarts until this past Christmas. I accidentally bought currants instead of raisins and found this recipe when looking up uses for them. Everyone liked them even if no one had heard of them before!
