The mixtures of savory vegetables and Bulgar is a blend that creates all sorts of flavor in your mouth. This is a great meal to prepare for the family dinner or a dinner party. Ingredients

  • 250 grams bulgur
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 2 onions
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • white wine
  • vegetable broth (1/2 lt., boiling)
  • salt
  • chives (Chopped, for the garnish)

Directions

  1. Wash the bell peppers and cut them into small cubes.
  2. Slice the onions finely and place them in a wok and saute for a few minutes with some oil.
  3. Add the peppers and saute for a few minutes.
  4. Add the bulgur and toast it for a few minutes.
  5. Add the white wine and allow it to evaporate completely.
  6. Add the boiling vegetable broth, cover with the lid, and let the bulgur absorb the liquid completely, approximately 40 minutes on low heat.
  7. Serve with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and some fresh chives.

This is a hearty and healthy dish that will keep appetites at bay for hours. It is delicious served with a side salad and a bit of parmesan cheese on top. Reduce the amount of onions used by about half ot use scallions instead. Too strong of an onion flavor will overwhelm the bulgar.
