It tasted very good, but the amount of chocolate chips was a bit too much so next time I'll be putting about 3/4 of a cup. Also when I baked it for the twenty minutes the bottom was raw, so I put an extra 8-10 minutes to achieve a soft middle and a slightly crispy outside.

Grouse. I've made it twice already. Coworkers and girlfriends all loved it. I used a combination of light brown sugar, dark sugar and really dark sugar, because that's what I had available, and the batter had lovely nutty, toffee/caramel flavours along with the nuttiness from the burnt butter. The choc chips were really second fiddle to the flavour of the biscuit itself.
