Broccoli with Lemon and Garlic


Broccoli is a wonderful vegetable that is rich in nutrients and versatile. It soaks up tasty sauces.   • 1 head broccoli (divided into florets)
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and ground black pepper


  1. 1Steam the broccoli until tender, approximately 6 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. Place on paper towels to drive. Place into a serving dish.
  2. 2Whisk together the lemon juice and rind, garlic, and olive oil. Add salt and pepper and pour over the broccoli. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving.
