Even broccoli avoiders will be won over by this dish, and that goes for kids, too, who may even start requesting it for the family dinner. That would be totally fine, since it's quick and easy to prepare. You can boil the whole head of broccoli or cut it up into florets, but the more tender it is the better the puree will be. What seals the deal is the butter and cheese that's mixed into the puree. This makes an ideal side dish for steak or chicken.
- 500 grams broccoli
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons Ilha cheese (or similar, grated)
- ground black pepper
- Boil the broccoli in salted water, drain, and grind with the hand blender.
- Put the puree in a saucepan on low heat, mix in the butter and the cheese.
- Season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
- Use as a side dish.
