Ingredients

  • 120 grams salted butter
  • 180 grams flour
  • 1/2 packet baking powder
  • ground cinnamon
  • 70 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 apples

Directions

  1. Melt the butter.
  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, 1 teaspoon. cinnamon, and sugar.
  3. Add the egg, quickly work the dough by rubbing it between your hands to sand it.
  4. Add the melted butter and form a ball.
  5. Press dough with fingertips in one or several tart dishes.
  6. Cover with the apples, peeled and cut into quarters.
  7. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Bake for about 30 minutes if they are small, otherwise for 40 minutes.
  9. Enjoy warm.

This recipe has to be the most tasty apple tartlets I have had the pleasure of making. The apples were semi-sweet and had just a hint of tartness that made the entire tortlett standout.
