Description

Ingredients

  • bread (Tuscan, or similar crusty bread, stale, sliced thick)
  • water
  • tomatoes (diced)
  • red onion (peeled and diced)
  • cucumber (diced)
  • celery (diced)
  • fresh basil (minced)
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • red wine vinegar
  • salt
  • ground black pepper

Directions

  1. 1Add the bread slices to a bowl.
  2. 2Cover with water and set aside for 20 minutes.
  3. 3Add the tomatoes, onion, cucumber, and celery to a salad bowl.
  4. 4Add the basil and toss well.
