Description

No need to run to the bakery with this simple recipe for Bread Rolls for Snacks. You can use these bread rolls to create sandwiches for lunch or a snack, spread with your favorite jam, or spread with butter and serve alongside dinner tonight. Made with just four simple ingredients, these bread rolls are fluffy and have a lovely crust. Make the bread dough the day before you plan on baking these rolls in order to let the dough rest and rise.

Ingredients

610 grams bread flour
410 grams water
1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
10 grams salt

Directions

1In a bowl, mix 100 grams flour, 100 grams water, and the yeast. Let it ferment, until frothy.
2Add the rest of the flour, water, and salt. Knead by hand for 1 to 2 minutes and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat until the gluten has developed.
3Shape into a ball and placed in a greased bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
4The following day, preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius.
5Remove the dough from the refrigerator and knead for 1 minute.
6Divide dough into 10 portions. Shape each portion into a rectangle and form the bun wrapping and sealing well. Place the rolls on a linen cloth with a dusting of flour. Then cover with plastic or a damp cloth.
7Heat the oven to 250 degrees. Bake 15 minutes at 250 degrees.
