Bread pudding is like french toast, but in casserole form. For those of us who love salads, casseroles, soups, and other tossed dishes, this is good news. Bread pudding is ridiculously easy to make and even easier to enjoy. It's creamy vanilla flavors accented with caramel sauce make this recipe a perfect pair with some vanilla bean ice cream. Add cinnamon to your recipe to bring out a snickerdoodle flavor!

Ingredients

  • 5 deciliters milk
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 150 grams bread crumbs (white, I used sliced ​​bread)
  • 8 eggs
  • caramel sauce (to taste)

Directions

  1. Boil the milk with the vanilla and sugar, pour over the bread crumbs.
  2. Let cool slightly, and run through the blender.
  3. Beat 4 egg whites until stiff.
