Description

This chocolate yeast bread couldn't be easier to make: Just combine all the ingredients in the bread machine, turn the setting to "cake," and wait until the loaf is ready. One caveat: Be sure to remove the dough-hook attachments from the machine after the "dough" phase is finished. Also, let the loaf cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving, drizzled with icing if desired. The loaf will keep for up to a day, wrapped well, at room temperature.

Ingredients

400 milliliters milk
1 eggs
100 grams soft cheese
1 teaspoon salt
8 teaspoons sugar
600 grams cake flour
5 tablespoons cocoa powder
100 semi-sweet chocolate morsels
11 grams yeast

Directions

1Add milk, egg, cheese, salt, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, and yeast to a bread maker.
2Program the bread maker to the "cake" setting with 1,250 gram weight and golden brown crust.
3After the "dough" phase, remove the hooks so as not to cause the bread to split when removed from the bread pan.
4Once baked, turn it out and allow to cool on a cooling rack.
5Cut in thick slices. It will keep for a few days if stored in a resealable plastic bag.
