  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 medium carrot (length)
  • 1 handful peas
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste (made from grinding fresh ginger in pestle and mortar)
  • 1 onion (medium, chopped)
  • 1 handful peanuts
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder (Kashmiri)
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder (roasted, you may not roast it but I prefer this way)
  • 2 teaspoons Garam Masala
  • 3 raisins (brown, optional)
  • 5 tablespoons crumb (Bread)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (I used Sunflower oil)
  • salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)
  • 3 coriander leaves (chopped, optional)
  • 1 cup water
  • tomato ketchup (for garnishing, optional)
