Description

Marinating the lamb for this dish in a little bit of white wine and spices the night before cooking ensures that it will be packed with flavor and have a nice tenderness. The meat is browned before being braised in the marinating liquid, again ensuring there is tons of flavor in this dish. Serve the braised lamb with a baked potato and some roasted vegetables for a filling and warming meal.

Ingredients

  • lamb
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • paprika
  • 5 garlic cloves (peeled and chopped)
  • 5 deciliters white wine
  • olive oil (to taste)
  • 1 onions
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 bunch rosemary

Directions

  1. 1Cut the lamb into pieces, and place it in a deep bowl. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic cloves.
  2. 2Drizzle with white wine, cover the bowl, and let marinate overnight.
  3. 3Peel and finely chop the onion.
  4. 4In a large pot, heat the olive oil, add the onion, and the parsley and rosemary tied together as a bunch.
  5. 5When the onion begins to brown, add the well-drained pieces of lamb.
  6. 6Let the meat brown on all sides, stirring occasionally.
  7. 7Drizzle with the wine from the marinade, and if necessary, add hot water little by little so that the stew does not get too dry.
  8. 8Serve with a salad, and small baked potatoes.
