Bow-tie Pasta


Farfalle, more commonly known as bow-tie pasta (although farfalle translates to "butterfly" in Italian), are just the right pasta shape for cradling the sauce, which is made by sauteing onion and garlic with ground meat (your choice, including pork, lamb, beef, or some combination). Once the pasta is properly al dente and well drained, its tossed with the sauce along with red cabbage, carrot, and arugula. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, drizzle with olive oil, and serve.


  • 1 onions
  • 1 garlic cloves
  • olive oil (to taste)
  • minced meat (to taste)
  • sesame seeds
  • pepper
  • arugula
  • bow-tie pasta

  1. 1Cook the pasta in salty water.
  2. 2Once cooked drain.
  3. 3Cut the onion and place in a pan with garlic and olive oil.
  4. 4Add the minced meat, salt and pepper and sauté until frying.
  5. 5Add the meat to the pasta.
  6. 6Cut the red cabbage.
  7. 7Add the carrot and a handful of leaves of arugula, a pinch of sesame seeds and a little olive oil.
