Description

This rich no butter chocolate cake has a surprise running through the middle, more chocolate! Layers of moist chocolate cake are separated by a layer of melted chocolate and walnuts. Made with exclusively brown sugar, this cake has a rich flavor that ensures it will soon disappear.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 480 grams brown sugar
  • 480 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 240 milliliters oil
  • 240 grams cocoa
  • 240 milliliters boiling water
  • 120 grams chocolate chips
  • 120 grams ground walnuts (coarsely)

Directions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2Beat the eggs with the sugar.
  3. 3Add the flour and the baking powder.
  4. 4Then, add the oil and cocoa powder.
  5. 5When the oven is hot, add the boiling water and beat well.
  6. 6Pour half the dough in a baking tray greased with butter and sprinkled with flour. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and walnuts.
  7. 7Add the remaining dough, and bake for about 45 minutes.
  8. 8Test the baking process with a toothpick.
  9. 9Remove from oven, cool, and cut in squares.
