Fresh or even frozen blackberries make a great alternative to strawberries (and other berries) in whipping up light and refreshing fruit shakes, which don't have to include any ice cream or frozen yogurt (or even plain yogurt) to be creamy and delicious. Here, blackberries, milk, and optional sugar are blended until the drink is as smooth as desired, and then garnished with fresh mint (basil would also work well here).
- 100 grams blackberries
- 400 milliliters milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 mint leaves
- Put everything in the blender and blend until homogeneous.
- Serve immediately, garnished with a mint leaf.
