  • 1 pound beef (thinly sliced marbled, or pork)
  • 4 garlic cloves (finely minced)
  • 1/2 ginger (grated or finely minced)
  • 2 stalks green onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 pinch salt (and black pepper)
  • 1 carrot (julienned)
  • 1 zucchini squash (/daikon, julienned)
  • 2 cups lettuce (1 1/2″ length baby bak choy/Taiwanese, / baby spinach)
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 6 shiitake mushrooms (julienned and sautéed)
  • 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean chili pepper paste, more or less depending on how spicy you like yours)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon light soy sauce
  • 5 cups cooked rice (short grain/sticky rice)
  • 4 eggs (fried sunny side up)
  • 2 stalks green onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (toasted)
  • seaweed (Roasted, shredded, optional)

    It tasted so good! It made more than 4 servings, so I would recommend making double the amount of sauce. I also like quitd a bit of heat in this dish, so I like adding a little extra gochujang to the sauce, but that's really a matter of preference. Everyone loved it when I made it!

    The recipe was accurate and the result delicious! We made it several times and it become a family favourite. It is not as complicate as it seems, but you need to take time to marinate well the meat.

    The sweet and spicy sauce was a perfect compliment to the rice and veggies. Marinated top round beef for 24 hrs., which gave the meat a very nice flavor. I would make this again.

    cooked without the meat however it was excellent! muhusbandis korean a d he was extremely happywith the flavor and the sauce is amazig. totally recommended for qjick ad healthy and different meals.

    This dish was amazing! I was skeptical about the egg but it really brought the dish together. I chili paste makes the dish! I love how you can substitute any veggie or meat to change it up. I will definitely make this again and again.
