  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (storebought)
  • 312 milliliters water
  • 125 milliliters oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 125 grams mascarpone cheese
  • 200 grams chocolate
  • brittle (praline)


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil and eggs.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Line a cake pan with parchment paper and pour in the batter.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes. Then turn off the oven but leave the cake inside.
  6. Melt chocolate in a double boiler.
  7. When chocolate is melted, mix with the mascarpone.
  8. Set aside
  9. Once the cake is cold, cut into two layers.
  10. Spread half of the mascarpone-chocolate cream on one layer.
  11. Sprinkle with half of the praline brittle
  12. Place second cake layer on top and frost the cake with remaining cream.
  13. Sprinkle with remaining praline brittle.
