Beer in cake? Yes please. This cake is warm, sweet, moist, and perfectly safe for the little ones. Made with light beer, you will not have to count too many extra calories.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams margarine (softened)
  • 400 grams sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 milliliters beer (white)
  • 350 grams flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Grease a bundt cake mold with margarine and sprinkle with flour.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Whisk the butter with the sugar until you get an whitish and soft cream.
  5. Then, add the eggs, one at a time, whisking constantly between each addition.
  6. Add the beer. and whisk for about 2 minutes.
  7. Finally, add the flour and the baking powder, mixing the dough well, but without beating it.
  8. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  9. Check the cooking, remove from the oven, and unmold.

Tried this just the other night and I have to say, I really liked it. The taste definitely wasn't what I expected upon trying out a “beer” cake but it was very good. I will definitely be doing this again sometime.
