Ingredients

  • 1 pound rib eye steaks
  • 16 ounces beansprouts (cleaned)
  • 1 leeks (large Asian, or 3 green onion sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (Korean, for soup, gook ganjang)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 piece kelp (dried sea, dashima or konbu)
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon Korean chile flakes
  • 1 tablespoon sauce (anchovy)
  • ground black pepper (freshly)
