Ingredients

  • 4 flank steak (large thin)
  • 2 potatoes (sliced)
  • 2 carrots (sliced)
  • 4 strips bacon
  • 1/2 onions (sliced)
  • 1/2 onions (diced)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • salt (and pepper)

Directions

  1. 1Spread out each flank steak and spread with mustard. Place a strip of bacon and slices of potato, carrot and onion down the center of each steak lengthwise. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. 2Roll up each steak and secure with two toothpicks. Cut each roll in half.
  3. 3Fry the rolls in a little oil in a pan until the meat is cooked on the outside, approximately 2 minutes on each side. Lower the heat.
  4. 4Blend the tomatoes, broth, diced onion, garlic, salt and pepper in the blender. Add to the pan and cook 20 minutes until the flavors blend.
