  • 2 pounds beef shanks (or shortribs cut into large cubes)
  • 2 stalks lemongrass (white part only, smashed)
  • 4 lime leaves (kaffir)
  • 1 inch galangal (sliced into coins)
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 2 coconut cream
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (palm sugar, can be substituted)

This was a really fantastic recipe. Had a great, rich flavor. Would definitely recommend, and will certainly be making it again!
