Yes! Wonderful, comforting soup! I used beef neck bones and used 4 cups of beef broth and 2 cups of water as suggested. I also added some precooked collard greens at the end. This one is definitely a keeper!

Came out great. Did as other suggested and used 4 cups beef broth and 2 cups water. Other than that made as directed. Came out a little thick and husband said maybe I should have added a little more water. Would definitely make again. Perfect on a fall or winter night

It came out great. Only thing I added was chili flakes. I think blending the onions, celery and carrot together would make it better and adding a bit more water when adding the barley would make it a bit more of a soup than a stew

Very tasty! Substituted onions for onion powder and added cornstarch to be more like stew.

Turned out great. Added mushrooms and used beef broth. Next time I won’t use quite as much barley.

Really good recipe - I would recommend using 4 cups of broth to 2 cups of water for a more flavorful soup.l.

Great, needed to add some beef bouillon for more flavor though. Also added mushrooms

Very good recipe. I did add a few teaspoons of beef base to give it a tad more flavor. I will definitely make this again!

I tweaked it slightly, using ground beef, adding crimini mushrooms and a bit more garlic, but the fundamentals of this recipe are what make it a solid go to meal that hits the spot on a cold or rainy day.

Delicious soup, this has become a regular recipe in my repertoire, nutritious and delicious!

This was a great recipe. Only thing I added was some beef base to kick up the beef flavor a little.

This is so delicious! I will never buy P*******o or C*******'s again. I did put one can beef broth plus 3 cups water. The instruction picture looked like the beef was dusted with flour along with the salt before browning. I did that, probably because I make stew so often. This made the broth a little hardy. I will only put 1 bay leaf next time, and I added around an extra 1/4cup barley. Thank you Skinny.

Very tasty. I did use beef stock instead of water to give it a little richer flavor.

Rather bland, added quite a bit more salt and pepper. I use Diamond Crystal salt, however, and it isn't quite as salty as Mortons kosher so you do need more. I ended up using about four teaspoons all total. I put about a teaspoon of fresh ground pepper. I think perhaps half water and half beef broth would give it a better flavor. Maybe a parsnip too in addition to the carrots. Thyme might be nice too. Needs something to enhance the flavor, bottom line. Will tweak recipe next time.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing. My picky eaters say their mouths water just at the smell of it, whenever I make this recipe. Leftovers are hard to come by.

It was a perfect soup ! I made beef broth instead of just water and I deglazed with red wine. My whole family loved it and the picky eater even had second !

I followed the recipe fairly closely. I used Epicure's Veggie Boullion to season the beef at the beginning instead of salt, as I wanted to be able to give some beef pieces to the baby.
Overall it was pretty good. I liked it but the family thought it was okay.
