This Barbecue Chicken will surprise with its tangy, sweet and spicy flavors. The recipe combines sweet tomatoes with rich and hearty seasonings and spices, along with spicy peppers for a saucy sensation for your weeknight chicken. We hop you love it as much as we do.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (medium, cut into strips.)
- 1/2 chile pepper (chipotle, marinated rough chopped)
- jalapeno chilies (chopped)
Directions
- 1Add tomato sauce, vinegar, honey, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and onion powder in a bowl and mix well.
- 2Add the chicken and peppers and mix well, coating the chicken pieces completely.
- 3Place the pot on the stove and cook on medium-low heat for 25 minutes. Cook until the chicken becomes softened.
- 4Remove the chicken from the pot. Allow it to cool off, and then shred it.
- 5Place the shredded chicken into the pot and cook it until the sauce begins to boil. Serve warm in tacos, as sandwiches, or by itself.
