Banana-Oat Whole Wheat Bread

Ananás e Hortelã


  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 bananas (ripe, diced)


  1. Preheat oven to 360°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Ground the oats to a coarse powder.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine oats, flours, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and nuts and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the egg with the yogurt, oil and honey until well incorporated.
  5. Add the diced bananas to the dry mixture and stir.
  6. Add the wet ingredients and whisk, but not too much.
  7. Place the dough in the loaf pan and sprinkle with oat flour.
  8. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
