Description

Banana bread is a perfect treat for breakfast, an afternoon snack or a late night treat. This banana bread is packed with bananas and adds a savory layer of flavor with cardamom seeds and sesame seeds. It may take a little over an hour to make a loaf of this dreamy sweet bread, but the smells alone will provide a houseful of happiness and comfort for hours.

Ingredients

150 milliliters water
1 tablespoon bakers yeast
sugar
400 grams flour
salt
10 cardamom seeds
2 bananas (mashed)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions

1Put the water in a small bowl and sprinkle in the baker´s yeast. Add a pinch of sugar and stir well.
2Let the mix rest for 10 minutes.
3In a mixing bowl, mix the flour, salt, cardamom, and mashed bananas and blend them well.
4Slowly add in the water and yeast mixture.
5Once a lightweight, moldable dough is formed.
6Remove the dough from the mixing bowl and place it in a flour coated bowl. Cover it with a cloth and allow it to ferment for approximately 2 hours.
7Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius.
8Mold the dough into a braided circle.
9Brush the loaf with a touch of water and sprinkle it with sesame seeds.
10Bake for approximately 20 minutes.
