Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups banana puree (ripe)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Mix the banana, sugar, oil and eggs together with a wooden spoon.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and pour the batter into a pan greased with butter.
  3. Bake for 1 hour at 180 C or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan.

Make sure to pick the ripest bananas you can for the bread. That helps with the texture and flavor. This bread is very easy to make and turns out great. It is very sweet and melts in your mouth when you take a bite. It's so light and fluffy. A great banana bread recipe.
