Super-moist and easy to make, this one-bowl banana bread comes out perfectly every time. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.


  • nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 bananas (large, very ripe, well mashed)
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Very good! Super easy, moist, and delicious! I wanted to use up some leftover bananas and had 4 large sized. I simply doubled all ingredients and took my chances and it worked out wonderfully! This doesn't always work with all recipes! 😊

    Flavor is okay. Did turn out to be pretty dense. Only baked for 50 minutes and it turned out really dark. I will try it again but scale down the bake time to about 45 minutes.

    I used this recipe to make banana bread for the very first time and it came out great. Since I’ve never really had banana bread I didn’t have a lot to compare it to. It was great but I will probably use a little less sugar next time but that’s just my personal preference.

    I used an extra banana and only 1/4 cup of regular sugar. Plus added walnuts. Cooked in 8x8 dish (to lessen cooking time) and came out perfect and fluffy

    This recipe is fantastic! I didn’t even have to adjust the baking time like I usually do, thanks to my ancient oven. I liked that it didn’t come out overly sweet, like a lot of banana bread recipes tend to do. The amount of cinnamon is perfect, and mingled well with the banana taste. I added chopped walnuts, but it’s also very good without them. I will be using this recipe often in the future. ❤️

    55 minutes makes it a little dark, but flavor is great! Will definitely make again. I added 1/2 cup of crushed pecans far a little extra flavor.

    I had 3 large bananas that needed used up, I also let it cook 5 mins longer to brown up more. Came out perfect and very moist with the added banana!

    I made muffins with the recipe. It took about 30 mins to bake instead of 55 mins. I made about 11 muffins with the recipe. They are so good and fluffy. I’m storing them in a ziploc bag and freezing them.

    Perfect simple recipe! Easy to follow and taste amazing! You have to gage your own oven I had to take mine out around 45mins
