• 1 1/3 cups milk (warm, 95 to 105 degrees, divided)

Unfortunately, these did not really turn out like real doughnuts. We don't have a fryer so I was excited to find this recipe that doesn't use a fryer. But they came out more like doughnut shaped sweet rolls. We ate them like you would rolls, with butter and they were pretty good but when you're expecting a doughnut, it's kind of disappointing to get a roll. I might make these again but as rolls.
