Made this for my family and they loved it it was easy and it was better then the more difficult recipes I’ve made used cream and butter and extra sharp cheddar cheese!! It was great!!

Okay. We all ate it. Bread crumbs were liked by only half our crowd and I was surprised the cheese on top didn’t melt, it just crusted with the panko. Not sure if I would make this exact recipe again.

No rue made this recipe a breeze! Added a shallot, minced garlic, paprika, and mustard while melting butter. I'm at mid-high altitude (7k+ ft) so not surprisingly, the sauce turned out really thick initially and i had to add about 1/4 cup 1% milk. That did the trick, it came out excellent & my family loved it. Will make again!

Made adjustments like using half & half instead of heavy cream and used different types of cheeses (a mix of white, sharp & mild cheddar; gouda; muenster then mild cheddar on top). Also used more seasoning (Himalayan salt mixed with roasted garlic). Didn't use the bread crumbs at all... Turned out great!
