Baked Ham with Pineapple and Orange Juice

This Baked Ham with Pineapple and Orange Juice will not only taste great on Christmas Day, it will be a family favorite year round. It not only makes the main dish a sweet treat, but also takes it to the next level of happiness for the holiday.

Ingredients

1 whole ham
clove
5 orange (juice)
1 egg yolks
1 tablespoon mustard
1 1/2 cups port wine
butter (to taste)
1 can pineapple (sliced, and juice)

Directions

1Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2Place the ham in a pan together with the port wine, butter, half the orange juice, and cloves.
3Cover the pan, and cook over medium heat for about 25 minutes.
4Remove the ham from the pan, and place in a baking tray or pyrex.
5Save the sauce.
6Mix the egg yolk with the mustard, and brush it on the ham.
7Mix the remaining orange juice with the juice from the pineapple slices, and place the pineapple slices in this mixture. In a skillet, brown the pineapple slices in the butter.
8Garnish the ham with the pineapple slices using toothpicks.
9Bake the ham for 4 or 5 hours, depending on weight. Use a meat thermometer to check if ham is completely cooked.
