I recommend turning the heat down to 225 and flipping every 45 minutes. low and slow is the way to dehydration.

I only cooked them for an hour with 30 minute intervals turning in between. They were perfect this way!!

I agree with the other reviews that the cooking time is not quite right and the apples have to be very thin

If i were to cook these chips again then I would shorten the baking time because i found that the whole two hours were two long.

Whoever said 275 is too high may have thought in Celsius but obviously it is 275 F, hence 135 C - not very high :-)

I just about followed the recipe exactly- After 30 minutes at 275 I flipped the apples slices over and lowered my oven's temp to 225. It just seemed to me to be cooking a little too quickly. Every 30 minutes I checked them and flipped them over. After about 2 hours they were crispy and delicious. Much more delicious that any apple chip I have ever bought.

Increased for a group of 6. Late getting them started so baked for only 1.5 hrs. They were still great. All eaten within 15 mins. Definitely good to end a heavy meal with.

275 degrees? Is this a misprint? My apple chips were burnt in an hour::( I love apple chips , but they are little costly at the local grocery store . Making it at home sounded like a good idea.

the apples turned out a bit chewy for me, but I think that is because I decreased the cooking time slightly. Otherwise great and make sure to load on the cinnamon! :)

I have made these in a food dehydrator. They turned out great. I have even made them with apple pie seasoning.
